This perfectly summarizes Cooxupé’s initiative, which began its Oracle EBS upgrade journey in January, moving from version 12.1.3 to 12.2.10. At first glance, it may seem like a routine technical project. However, upgrades like this represent much more than technical milestones. They are strategic investments designed to strengthen internal processes through more robust capabilities that come with a modern version of the solution.
The Go Live took place last week, on October 16. Throughout these 10 months, we faced a series of challenges, including three Conference Room Pilots (CRPs) covering development, validation, and quality assurance, all of which tested our resilience and ability to innovate. However, our close partnership with Cooxupé’s technology team created a daily exchange of ideas and expertise. Barriers disappeared as knowledge related to database administration and Oracle EBS was shared. Together, we overcame one of the project’s greatest challenges: the large number of existing customizations required to support the company’s unique business model.
In this environment, we chose to focus on enablement. Specialized training sessions on ADOP technology were delivered to the Cooxupé team, empowering them to build, manage, and deploy future patches required in the new version.
Finally, it is important to highlight the central role played by end users. Their active participation during CRP testing was essential to the project’s success. Thanks to their engagement, we achieved a smooth Go Live and a seamless transition into the stabilization phase.
