Leroy Merlin and Ninecon: Transforming Accounting Governance with Oracle EPM Cloud

Go Live of a Journey Built in Partnership

We are pleased to announce that the Oracle EPM Cloud enhancement project at Leroy Merlin Brazil has officially gone live. This milestone marks the completion of the first phase of a broader journey built on more than 10 years of partnership between Ninecon and Leroy Merlin, aimed at transforming the company’s accounting governance through technology, standardization, and data intelligence.

Operating in 15 countries and with more than 50 stores across Brazil, Leroy Merlin is recognized for its innovation, quality, and diverse range of home improvement solutions. This same commitment to excellence also drives its behind-the-scenes operations, fostering strategic advancements in its internal processes and management practices.

IFRS, Impacts, and Next Steps

This first phase focused on adapting the Oracle EPM environment to meet IFRS requirements, enabling parallel operations alongside local accounting standards. To achieve this, Ninecon led the restructuring of the “Management” cube, implemented technical adjustments, strengthened security controls, integrated the system with legacy solutions, and delivered specialized training for Leroy Merlin’s teams.

The production rollout is already generating significant results, including enhanced analytical and performance management capabilities based on the new accounting model, standardized business rules and performance metrics, and a structured approach to identifying improvement opportunities within data foundations. In addition to delivering immediate benefits, this phase also lays the groundwork for the next stages of the project, which will continue advancing objective-driven management and the group’s accounting alignment.

According to Helem Costa, Organization and Systems Analyst at Leroy Merlin,
